At Avient, we are an innovator of materials solutions that help customers succeed while enabling a sustainable world. We acknowledge that we are only a part of a product's life cycle and believe in a "better together" approach when working with others along the value chain.
In the textile industry's long and complex supply chains, it's important that all key players work together to deliver more textile products that enable innovation and sustainability. That's why we are striving to work with yarn producers, raw material providers, and brand owners to refine our portfolio of colorants and additives and to help solve complex textile challenges.

Our Cesa™ Fiber Additives for stain-resistance are non-fluorine additive concentrates specially formulated for polyester fibers used in automotive textiles, home furnishings, and carpets. Incorporated during yarn extrusion in the spin-dyeing (dope-dyeing) process, they prevent soils from setting into fibers, making stain removal easier with common household cleaners. The stain-resistance additives can be combined with color into single masterbatches for convenience but are also compatible with over-dyeing processes. Key benefits include long-lasting stain resistance, high processing temperature tolerance up to 300ºC, and limited impact on yarn spinnability.

Whether your goal is to confirm brand ownership or support labels special features like recycled content or the certificate of origin (i.e., "Made in..."), Cesa™ Fiber Tracer Concentrates are a cost-effective solution to confirm the origin of fibers in polyester and polyamide textiles, including the ones containing recycled material like PET bottles or nylon fishing nets. They contain a unique and personalized taggant that is incorporated into the fibers during the spin-dyeing process and that can be detected during specific testing to confirm the fiber's ownership by a specific customer or product line. The taggant can be combined with color into a combination concentrate for added convenience.
Our deep black concentrates achieve intense black hues in polyester and polyamide fibers – including recycled grades – while providing high resistance to washing and abrasion, for long-lasting deep black textiles. Unlike other deep black colorants, Renol™ Fiber Colorants for deep black shades are added during yarn production with the spin-dyeing process. This dyeing process not only uses no water and less energy compared to other traditional dyeing methods, but it also avoids multiple passes to achieve the desired intensity.
Avient's Taoyuan production site in Taiwan achieved full compliance with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) 4.0 and is also among the first providers of colorants and additives for spin-dyeing to be recognized as a bluesign® SYSTEM PARTNER. These two accreditations signal Avient's commitment to providing more sustainable fiber colorants and additives and helping customers reduce their environmental impact.
The GRS-certified colorants and additives manufactured in the Taoyuan site contain a required percentage of pre-consumer or post-consumer recycled polyester primarily from recycled PET flakes. They are particularly suitable for polyester fibers used in casual wear and sportswear applications.
The bluesign® SYSTEM PARTNER label is a well-known label for textiles that certifies increased sustainable chemistry and high product safety in the textile industry. It automatically provides the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Susbstance Lists) Conformance level 3 to the Taoyuan site for its fiber color and additive solutions.

Avient offers a wide range of colorants for the spin-dyeing of polypropylene, polyester, polyamide and other man-made fibers like PLA and PHT. The masterbatches offer good spinnability and color resistance (fastness) to washing, heat, rubbing and light. A library of standard colors is available for defined applications (e.g., carpets and nonwovens). Custom colorant solutions are rapidly developed in our fiber-dedicated color matching labs around the world.

Additives can be used to enhance the properties and processability of fibers when required by the application and/or regulations. Our additive portfolio includes solutions to impart the following properties to fibers and filaments: UV/light stability, flame retardancy, antimicrobial efficacy, hydrophobicity and hydrophilicity, soft-touch effect, static electricity prevention, improved processability for recycled fibers, and more. These additives can be combined with color in a combination masterbatch for convenience.

Liquid masterbatches can also be used to dye man-made fibers during the spinning process. They are injected later in the process compared to solid pellet masterbatches, which provide the benefit of more efficient color changeovers. Our experts can provide assistance in helping to choose between pellets and liquid masterbatches.
